Midland, Texas: High Roller Sand announced today that construction is underway on two new, fully-automated, state-of-the-art hydraulic fracturing sand facilities. The Penwell plant (located east of Monahans) is projected to be operating at full capacity by year-end and will produce 1 MMTPY (million tons per year) of 100 mesh hydraulic fracturing sand. The 115 plant (located on HWY 115 north of Kermit and east of the dunes) will open in the first quarter of 2019, and will produce 4 MMTPY of 100 mesh and 40/70 mesh hydraulic fracturing sand at a 60:40 grade split.
Both plants will open with significant commitments from strategic partners – a mix of blue-chip E&P’s and Service companies.
High Roller Sand’s greatest advantage is expediency and efficiency resulting in reduced downtime owing to its locations, high speed automated truck-loadouts and passion for quality and excellent customer service.
These new mines are strategically located in proximity to key customer acreage, and it’s no coincidence that the mines are named for their locations. Low traffic ingress and egress to prime Delaware and Midland Basins will be an important competitive advantage for these plants.
“High Roller Sand was one of the first to enter the in-basin Permian sand market, and now we may be one of the last. Our strategic partners asked for more sand and more efficient logistics. Location is everything in the Permian, and with these 2 new mines we plan to deliver on our commitments. High Roller Sand’s goal is to always supply our customers efficiently with minimum downtime and at the lowest total cost. We always place safety first for our employees, customers and community,” stated Dave Frattaroli, Executive Vice President of Business Development, High Roller Sand.
