The 8 th Annual Frac Sand Industry Update held by The Petroleum Connection Friday, April 21st in Houston had an excellent attendance and exchange of industry trends. The State of the Industry Discussion was particularly insightful with:
- Joseph Triepke, Founder, Infill Thinking serving as Moderator and featuring panelists:
• Dave Frattaroli, EVP, High Roller Sand
• Maru Williams, Global Supply Chain Advisor, Chevron
• Brian McConn, SVP – Supply Chain, Hi-Crush
• Adam Katz, EVP, Badger Mining
Here is just one discussion takeaway from Dave Frattaroli, EVP, High Roller Sand. “There has been significant discussion about service inflation and the price of sand. Sand prices are stable and fair in the current range. Miners can re-invest in their people and plants, pressure pumpers, truckers and last mile providers can make a fair and transparent margin when bundling, and E&P’s can plan long-term completions budgets. Sand prices should not go down as it’s too easy to give up, and too difficult to get back.”
